BOURBONNAIS, Ill. (Sept. 29, 2017) – The North Central College men's cross country team lived up to their number 1 ranking Friday as they finished with a perfect score in the Midwest Intercollegiate Invitational at the Aspen Ridge Golf Course.
University of Chicago took second with 75 points followed by University of St. Francis in third (93) and host Olivet Nazarene University in fourth (105).
Junior
Dhruvil Patel paced the Cardinals to the perfect finish finishing first overall with a time of 25 minutes, 0.7 seconds. Following him in order was freshman
Jared Borowsky (25:12.1), senior
Dan O'Keefe (25:15.9), junior
Zach Hird (25:16.5), with junior
Al Baldonado (25:17.2) rounding out the scorers for North Central. Seven of the top ten individual finishers belonged to the Cardinals.
The Cardinals look to keep up their strong season on Oct. 6 when they travel to St. James Farm in Warrenville to partake in the Benedictine University Eagle Invitational.
