NCAA Division III National Championship Qualifiers

Nov. 15, 2015 - North Central College senior Megan Costanzo has qualified as an individual for the NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championship, to be contested Saturday at Lake Breeze Golf Course in Winnecone, Wisconsin.

Costanzo claimed one of seven individual qualifying spots at the Division III Midwest Region Championship on Saturday at Saukie Golf Course in Rock Island, Illinois. She placed fifth out of 271 finishers in the 6,000-meter (3.7-mile) race, completing the course in 21 minutes, 23.9 seconds, and helped lead the Cardinals to a seventh-place finish in the 40-team field.

This will be Costanzo's second appearance at the national cross country championship. She placed 81st at last year's meet after qualifying with North Central's team.

Saturday's race is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
