MILWAUKEE, Wis. (Sept. 4, 2010)-- One goal was all that was needed for the University of Wisconsin-Platteville to send the North Central College women's soccer team its first loss of the season, falling 1-0 on Saturday in its opening game of the Warrior Cup.

The Pioneers (2-1) Sarah Eck netted the game's lone goal in the 21st minute as UWP out-shot the Cardinals (1-1) by a 14-9 margin while holding a 6-0 edge in corner kicks taken. The victory assured the Pioneers of the Warrior Cup title after defeating host Wisconsin Lutheran College, 3-1, on Friday.

Goalkeeper Amy Frazzini tied a career-high with seven saves in the losing effort while Platteville's Kaitlyn Wiedeman notched four saves for the shutout.

North Central returns to the pitch on Sunday, taking on Wisconsin Lutheran at 12 p.m. in the final match of the 2010 Warrior Cup.
