2010 CSCAA All-Academic Release

Katie Stratton was selected by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America to the Honorable Mention All-Academic Team while the entire Cardinals' squad was among the 118 Division III programs to earn Team All-Academic honors for the 2009-2010 season.
To be eligible for the CSCAA All-Academic Team as an individual, athletes must achieve a grade-point average of 3.50 or above. Honorable Mention selections must also hit the NCAA Division III "B" cut standard while First Team selections must qualify for the NCAA Championships. Program's with cumulative team GPA's of 3.0 or above are eligible for the Team All-Academic Award.
Stratton set school records in the 100-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard breaststroke during the 2009-2010 season, hitting the "B" cut standard en route to a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Championship in both events. The junior physical education major additionally placed fifth in the 100-yard backstroke at the CCIW Championships and helped the Cardinals record three top four finishes in the relays.
North Central earns Team All-Academic honors after compiling a team GPA of 3.24 during the 2009-2010 season and was one of six CCIW squad's to be honored by the CSCAA. Also earning All-Academic honors were Augustana College, Carthage College, Illinois Wesleyan University, swimming-only member Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and Wheaton College.
