Official Release

June 22, 2010 -
North Central College football player Kyle Antos has been named to the 2010 D3 Senior Classic Preseason All-America Team.

The D3 Senior Classic is the premier post season all-star game showcasing the talent of senior players on the NCAA Division III football level. This game is held each December at Salem Stadium in Salem, Va., home of the NCAA Division III National Championship game.

Like the annual all-star game, the Preseason All-America Teams were chosen according to a North/South format. Antos was one of 13 players to be selected to the North's Offensive First Team.

Antos has started at right guard for the Cardinals for the past two seasons, earning First Team All-CCIW and First Team All-North Region honors last season. He was named to the Sporting News and Lindy's Sports Preseason All-America Teams this season, and was the only player from the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin to be named to the D3 Senior Classic Preseason All-America Team, though Carthage College quarterback Evan Jones was selected to the Honorable Mention list.

Player Invitations to participate in the D3 Senior Classic will be mailed beginning in the preseason and will continue until the Nov. 15 commitment deadline. 92 players will participate in the 2010 game. North Central quarterback Aaron Fanthorpe played in the inaugural Senior Classic last season, which the North won, 14-0.

North Central opens the 2010 season Sept. 4 at Cornell College (Iowa). The Cardinals' first home game is Sept. 25 against the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
