Apr. 7, 2009--
For second time this season, Matt Boguslawski has been named College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Men's Tennis Player of the Week after concluding the week undefeated in both singles and doubles.

In the team's 9-0 victory over Aurora University on Thursday, Boguslawski made quick work of Adrian Micun in No. 2 singles, winning 6-0, 6-0 before teaming up with Sam Sweeney to pick up the 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles.

In Saturday's 5-4 win over Lake Forest College, Boguslawski and Sweeney netted the Cardinals lone doubles victory of the day, edging out  Alex Presman and Jason Wiznitzer 8-2 in No. 1 action for the duo's sixth straight win. In singles, the freshman needed three sets to retire Jon Flaksman, 4-6, 7-5, 10-5 in No. 2 action, bumping his season record to 8-5.

The Cardinals have now won three of the eight CCIW Player of the Week awards doled out this season; Boguslawski won the award for the week of March 17 after the team's upset win over Augustana College while Sweeney won the award for the week of February 17 after knocking off regionally-ranked Alex Lowe of UW-Whitewater.

North Central (8-5, 1-0 CCIW) returns to the court on Thursday, facing conference-rival Elmhurst College at 3:30 p.m. in Elmhurst, Ill.
