Complete All-CCIW Team
Nov. 9, 2009 -- The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin announced its All-Conference Women's Soccer Team today with North Central College goalkeeper
Elise Manzie earning a spot on the Second Team.
Manzie, making her first appearance on the All-CCIW team, started in all but one game this season for the Cardinals, logging in 1,432 minutes in goal. The senior recorded 84 saves on the season with a goals-against average of 1.51 while posting four shutouts. She was the CCIW Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 20 after helping the team to consecutive conference wins over Carthage College and North Park University.
The senior concludes her career second on the all-time saves list with 279 and holds the school record for shutouts after posting 14 over her four-year career.
It was a record setting season for the Cardinals (10-7, 2-5 CCIW) in 2009, setting school records for most goals in a season (52) and wins (10) while
Laura Petersen shattered the longstanding single-season scoring record after registering 15 goals on the year.
