Dear Cardinal Fans,

I hope this letter finds you well and enjoying the summer. I am honored to represent the North Central athletic community and the athletic teams you've supported in the past. We are excited about the upcoming 2019-20 academic year and anxious to see our scholar-athletes compete once again. Expectations are high and we know that opposing schools have North Central College highlighted on their schedules.  It is certainly a great position we find ourselves in athletically and we would not want it any other way!
 
Our student-athletes experienced another strong year both athletically and academically in 2018-19. Highlights include:

• Three national championship teams (men's cross country, women's triathlon and men's indoor track and field)
• Six individual national championships
• 35 NCAA Division III All-Americans and 30 Academic All-Americans
• 10 teams received Scholar and Academic All-American honors by their national associations
• A CCIW-leading eight team CCIW titles and 28 individual/relay conference champions
• Six CCIW athlete/player of the year awards
• 251 Academic All-CCIW selections
• Placed 32nd of 454 NCAA Division III schools in the Learfield Directors' cup for overall national success - top 10% nationally for the 15th consecutive year (21 out of the past 24 years)

Your support and generosity has allowed our men's and women's athletic teams to compete at the highest level of the conference, regionally, and nationally. Our 38 team national championships rank North Central 7th out of 454 NCAA Division III institutions and first in the CCIW by a wide margin. The national success we have enjoyed provides us motivation and perspective. We are in a golden era of North Central athletics!
