STEVENS POINT, Wis. (Mar. 6, 2010)-- Competing in just three events, the North Central College women's track & field squad posted two provisional qualifying marks at the Pointer Last Chance Qualifier held at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point's Multi-Activity Center.
Brandye Jackson highlighted the day, lowering her provisional qualifying time in the 55-meter hurdles, winning the event in 8.28. The Cardinals ran a season-best time in the 4x400-meter relay, clocking a provisional qualifying time of 3:59.96.
Brianna Tolliver was the Cardinals' lone competitor in the field events, finishing sixth in the triple jump with a leap of 34 feet 11 3/4 inches.
No team scores were kept at the meet which served as the final chance for athletes to qualify for the NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships. The two-day Championships begin on Friday, March 12 at DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind.
